Wedding party movie star, Ireti Doyle revealed her experience during her childhood age when she was interviewed at Harvesters International Christian Centre in Lagos.
While speaking during the interview, Ireti said her people was harsh on her including her mother when she got pregnant at an early age of 17.
“You have to surround yourself with people who love and support you”. “I was blessed to have people around me unfortunately these people are not my family members”.
During that time, Ireti revealed that her mother didn’t take it lightly with her. Although she wouldn’t have handled it the way she did because she belongs to a different generation. In her words,
“I was nurtured by people I met who constantly reminded me that my life did not end because of a bad situation”.
Ireti Doyle further stated that, she felt she still remained who she was because she came from a good home, not by wealth but value. Education was not negotiable in her family and she didn’t want that one mistake to define her so she continued to work harder, although it was quite difficult for her because she still remained the talk of the town for many years.
